Spontaneously, we went on a little trip, down the road in Denmark. First stop was this!

This was pretty neat - very fascinating that they have done this, with only water and sand. The details are amazing, very impressing, and I just wanted to touch the sand so badly, because you felt in doubt if this was real.
I was so glad that the weather turned out so great. When we left home, it was all cloudy, although hot. I did my best on these photos, but you don't have that many choices of angles, when you can't go close to them. I could get some different angles, but it isn't anything extreme.

wow those pics of the sand sculptures are really something! it's hard to believe with all that detail that it's sand. :P i remember going to santa barbara once and a homeless looking man was at the beach and everyone was watching him sculpt a life-sized mermaid in the sand. it was amazing. he used the edge of a piece of cardboard, a tin can, just things that people throw away he used as his sculpting tools. these ones in your pics are so huge in scope. it must have been great to see it in person. :)

ReplyDeletei especially like the first 4 and the three right under the one with the radio :p great composition on those. but the first 4, i like how it shows the whole coliseum and then the next they made a giant magnifying glass to show more detail :p that is awesome! and the 4th, i like the way it looks like a wavy painting in the sand :p
